About us

Human disease iPSC Service Consortium Resource Center is funded by the National Core Facility for Biopharmaceuticals (NCFB).

As medical sciences advance, the population in Taiwan has become older for people now have longer life expectancy. Therefore, chronic diseases have gradually replaced infectious diseases and now become an important issue in public health. Since Taiwanese have distinctive genetic traits in addition to their unique lifestyle and pathogenic factors, it is necessary to establish human iPSC databank in Taiwan. The consortium will hold seminars and provide the production of human iPSC cell lines, which will facilitate researchers in Taiwan to study pathogeny, novel drug screening, and cell therapy in the future.

Also, there will be iPSC culture training sessions, which will provide advising service and help the users to get on later iPSC differentiation stage.
