Human disease iPSC Service Consortium Resource Center is funded by the National Core Facility for Biopharmaceuticals (NCFB).
Thanks to the advanced public health services, the average lifespan in Taiwan has largely increased in the past few decades. However, chronic diseases have also become an important issue in public health. Since the Taiwanese population has distinctive genetic traits in addition to their unique lifestyle and pathogenic factors, it is therefore of great advantage and benefit to establish human iPSC databank in Taiwan.
The consortium provides services including generation of human iPSC cell lines, the derivative cells and hands-on tutorials, which facilitate researchers in Taiwan and all over the world to study novel drug screening, cell therapy, and personalized medicine.
